Most of the time the teachers teaching the sport have no idea how to play the sport well, so it’s pretty much like learning English. The clubs are more for free babysitting for parents and to get them accustomed to future sempai/kohai work relationships D:
With as much time every Japanese middle schooler, or high schooler, puts into their sports, you would think they would all be pro, or collegiate, level ready.
Makes me question, are they even really practicing??
