So how do japanese feel about foreigners in their country? I saw a coupla guys on youtube say they've had horrible experiences working there.

Idk how all of them feel about it but I and everyone I know has faced countless bouts of xenaphobia and racism from Japanese people. However Japanese people themselves refuse to believe these experiences lmao
-
So you live in Japan? And are you part japanese?
-
Yes and no
-
Okay, so you're white? What exactly do the Japanese do that's particularly racists or prejudiced against other races? I know little about this..
-
No I’m mixed, just not mixed with Japanese. The things that have affected me personally are being denied apartments or memberships to places, general abuse. A lot of discrimination and lack of respect in the workplace that kinda basic stuff
-
Wow. Hate to hear that. Is it true some Japanese women fawn over men from other races?

Best response I've heard of regarding "gaijin go home" comments was along the lines of, "You look Korean. Perhaps you should lead by example?"

I always figured that for people who live in Japan, it's kind of like a game, playing the "genki olympics" and the "流れに行きます Championships". All the tactics I see people using to adapt to those seem strongly rooted in game theory, at least.

It's the same everywhere. The Dutch don't like hearing just how racist they (and Zwarte Piet) are, but BOY are they ever

It’s a serious mentally illness. Racism spread around the world easily this times. And it’s the most stupid thing ever
