I am mad at myself for feeling too safe and sharing too much. I try to interact with all kinds of people, because I want to connect with you, but it’s horrifying to google your name and see screen shots of things you’ve said posted elsewhere for an audience it isn’t meant for.

And, here’s the thing. I’ve been doing this internet thing for 10+ years. I know how this works and I know that it will not change. I am not mad at people for making a place on the internet to get together and talk. I am glad they have a place where they can do this, because

I recognize that they need a place to share their thoughts, and they don’t want to directly engage the people they follow. I’m honestly glad that they can take that conversation somewhere where we don’t HAVE to see it. Thankful, even. The problem is dealing with my insecurity.
