American conservatism is just American liberalism 10 years later (though lately, it's been more like 5 years later.) What's the point of being a *conservative* if we capitulate on every issue? The trans movement is being used as a wedge issue to redefine gender in radical ways.

6 months from now: "Time for a compromise on 9 year-old drag queens" I'd keep going but don't even want to think about what's after that

Really living up the "cuckservative" epithet NRO.

The bull hasn't even called yet and
@NRO is warming up the lube.

to be fair to this absurd nonentity, he's gay and pseudo-cons crave social approval...his peers regularly dress up as drag queens and screw drugged up underage boys, so expecting him to know what "conservative" means is unrealistic
-
he was hired by the people who run the now-defunct National Review blog in one of those hilariously dismal efforts senior citizen pseudo-cons make to appeal to anyone but senior citizen pseudo-cons
-
is there ANY evidence these mutants care about anything other than the top tax bracket and their own gruesome fetishes? having observed the NR culture for 30 years, I haven't seen any
-
your self-appointed intellectual leaders all have shambolic personal lives, toady to the donor class, and fight like girls against malnourished psychotic progressives who routinely beat them up
-
also gay boy's post is 99% clickbait, NR's subscribers have plummeted and NRO is basically the JCPenney of conservative brands: no one under 50 takes it seriously
-
he wrote this and Rich Lowry approved it in a desperate attempt to improve numbers before the moving boxes arrive...it would be more dignified to try to sell discounted subscriptions on the Home Shopping Network at 4:15 AM
-
I'm not kidding, one of our posters reported that NR staff were in tears after the 2016 NeverTrump issue came out and even the geriatric set dumped them
-
I would love to see NRO post year over year circulation and unique visitor numbers for the past twenty years...I'm sure it would be good for a long evening of schadenfreude

Bad look. Conservativism-wise. I'm sure however your social standing will just blow up now.
-
I don't agree with the premise. Complying with part 1 of their compromise is fine - human beings should be treated equally under the law (but no more than that). Even people I disagree with. The premise, however, is that this is a natural phenomenon, not an aberration.
-
Let me be frank - gender dysphoria is not the trendy "put on a different gender's outfit" phase that millennials are going through. The people who actually need to deal with it are suffering - they wanted to be BORN the other sex, not "transgender".
-
Transgender is a label being worn as a mark of pride, when those with gender dysphoria really aren't happy about it at all. They were born in the wrong body. Telling them to cope with that by denying reality is like telling schizophrenic people to indulge their hallucinations.

At that point, I think science will have gone too far, but admittedly it would be the ultimate cure to gender dysphoria. I'm not sure it's possible without modifying the body chemistry of a child before puberty, though, and let me be clear - That is NOT an option.
-
Once we can truly gene re-sequence it won't be too long before you get into a pod a man and come out a fully biological woman. I've read a TON of erotic fiction & "gender transformation" stories are a HUGE kink. There's enough people invested in making it happen, so it will.
-
I find it hilarious that you just casually admitted to reading a TON of that particular genre. I'm not judging you, it just makes me chuckle. That being said, I have some non-religious "Playing God" issues with that. Can we choose our skin color? What class we were born into?
