Senior System Analyst - Middleware Services

The selected candidate be part of a global team providing application support for middleware services which underpin a range of LCH.Clearnet systems.
The 3rd party applications supported by the middleware function include the SWIFT Alliance product range, CREST, IBM MQ Series, Oracle WebLogic, Oracle Service Bus, EPAM FIX Engine, Axway CFT, and BMC Middleware Monitoring (BMM).Key responsibilities
Assist in the incident management process and resolution of such incidents raised within the production environments as part of a 24x7 support rota.
Provide 1st to 3rd level support and consultancy to test and development teams in relation to middleware supported applications.
Ensuring test environments are fit for purpose, regularly synchronised, and are maintained to production standards.
Implementation of production changes across all middleware supported applications as part of the LCH.Clearnet change management process.
Manage the availability and capacity management of the middleware services.
Engagement in the design, configuration and delivery of all middleware systems required to run the business.
Liaise with development leads and product managers to ensure that new releases/platforms are delivered smoothly to the production environment.
Ensure that all processes and documentation are adequate and effective to meet support and audit requirements.
Ensure all software end of life dates are appropriately reported and upgraded.
Manage support queries from internal and external customers through to resolution.
Adherence to all the IT production procedures, in particular the IT Production Incident Management procedure and Change Management procedure.
To ensure effective, pro-active monitoring and management is in place for systems.
Ensure effective security measures are implemented and develop/update security policies.
Define/implement sufficient monitoring, and automation where possible.
Candidate profile / Key skills
A bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent relevant professional qualification in IT.
Extensive experience in a support role within a production environment.
Knowledge/experience in supporting Oracle Weblogic server products, Oracle service bus, Java based applications and IBM MQ series.
Reasonable understanding of multiple financial protocols and functional usage.
Familiarity with UNIX/Linus and scripting.
Ability to work during out of office hours.
Good problem analysis skills.
