World’s Most Expensiver Sushi; More Gold and Diamonds

Foolishly, I reported last week on the “most expensive sushi” title, only to correct last week’s post be outdone by this week’s post.  Well, here it is.  The same chef from the last post, Angelito Araneta Jr, has raised the bar once again.  Behold his latest creation.  Here are the contents:

  • 12-yr-old Italian balsamic vinegar
  • Japanese rice
  • 70-yr-old virgin water
  • Muscovado sugar
  • Norwegian pink salmon
  • cucumber
  • mango
  • foie gras
  • sea cucumber (smoked then pickled and steamed ’til tender sticky)
  • genuine crabmeat
  • wild saffron
  • mayonnaise with butter
  • 12 local Palawan pearls
  • 4 (.20ct) African diamonds of VVS clarity

Haha, sadly, I look at all the contents and say, “Oooh, mayonaise with butter…”
