I made a VGP (very good program) that makes it so it looks like I’m typing on slack whenever anyone else is typing, and stops when they stop. Everyone loves it so far and doesn’t find it annoying at all! https://github.com/will/slacktyping …pic.twitter.com/ZZd01GxYqg

This is very funny, and we consider it a feature request.
But remember when you changed the commit hashes? How did you do that?! -
I *still* modify every and every git hash I commit to start with (usually) `cafe`
I change the two timestamps, author and committer, in the commit until I find a partial collision. -

Probably. I haven’t verified threads explicitly, but all rooms and all private chats work. And given how their API works, I don’t think threads would be different.
