If you did the liposuction it would be a short term fix, but the unhealthy routine that led to why you were curious about it in the first place would still be there and come back to you again. Meanwhile the exercise, while it would take longer, would help you forever. :)

Haha, actually the studies were saying the rebound isn't that bad (unless I had a grossly unhealthy lifestyle, which I don't think I do--I know I could do better though.) BUT I think exercising is ultimately the better option and why am I even looking at this stuff ??

I think personally, what might help, and I hope I'm not over-stepping, but I think it's less of a physical appearance issue which brought up this curiosity but rather a lack of self love. I know it's hard, but I also know you can find that place for yourself. *hugs*

Well I mean it's not just the lack of self love. I feel pretty cute lately, I love my hair and my new clothes that actually fit... But I think it kind of came from talking to a few friends and realizing a lot of them get cosmetic enhancements--they just don't talk about it.

I mentioned to a friend that I was curious about injections for fat dissolving and she casually said, "oh, I've done that, it really hurts though!" and it kind of made me realize that people I think are really beautiful are beautiful because they prioritize visual maintenance.

I never was a gym person or athletic at all until I got a membership to a rock climbing gym. I'm SO hooked! Feels like solving puzzles while also happening to be exercise. It sticks if you find a sport you can't wait to do again :) (BTW, looking for a good ckimbing gym in Japan!)

That sounds like fun! I'm so bad at staying motivated but I love music, so dance always worked for me, but now that I'm in spin class I have fun since it's music based too!

A lot of times, arm “flabbiness” is from lack of muscles definition and less so fat! You might be surprised by how little fat is actually there vs muscle that just needs to be toned! :D

Yeah, I was looking at "before/after" photos of people who had it done and I was like, "okay... but to be fair, this girl actually needs it." Some people have like, wings developing under their arms. I think I just need to tone. I can do 1kg weights during spin now tho!

Yeah I was insecure about my arms too and asked my hubby what to do and he just pinched them and was like “yeah only a cm or so is actual fat, just lift weights to tone” well that’s easier and cheaper than surgery I suppose! Lol

it's not possible to target weight loss in one area, unfortunately, but you can exercise, get healthier and pray for an arm bonus

Yes. I am aware. However, increasing cardio activity to 150mins a week should have a visible effect on overal appearance and burn fat. Since I'm spending money on unlimited monthly entry to the gym, it makes way more sense to just... make more of an effort to go to the gym.

Working out is best. Cosmetic operations like liposuction are the thing you do when you have done 80% of the work yourself, and you need help with the last 20%. In my own personal weight loss saga, I know I'll need to have the loose skin of my belly removed eventually.

I think the amount of self consciousness you have isn't good for you mentally. Maybe it's inevitable with you putting yourself out there a lot, but the way you look at yourself sometimes is not warranted. Honestly sometimes it breaks my heart a little to read your tweets.

Honestly, you don’t even need a gym! I use 5 pound weights and do some different arm work outs, probably 10 minutes, or two upbeat songs, and you’ll start seeing results!
