Something I Don't Understand[edit]
The whole deal with the "seizure gif"... which by the way was never originally purposed/engineered to actually try and cause people seizures (nor is there any way to even do such a thing in the first place)... the thing of it is though when you buy a television or a computer monitor or, well... almost anything that requires a screen for use, there are actually GOVERNMENT warning labels which are included as a default specifically saying that the device can and potentially will emit patterns of color/light that will trigger seizures.
Meaning if you actually suffered from seizures to such a degree... you wouldn't even be using such a device in the first place! They actually specifically make shit ~for~ people who suffer from seizures, everything from software that specifically mitigates animated GIFs and video, to specialized contrast/color/frequency profiles, to tinted/polarized glasses designed to mitigate strobing/glare, etc, etc, etc... so unless the guy magically became epileptic just over the course of a fucking weekend... yeeeaaaah, he's full of shit as a Christmas turkey and even if he did have a seizure it's his own fault for ignoring the government warning labels put on the products he buys. --Mimkrys 20:35, 12 January 2018 (EST)
- I never believed that the bald little fuck had a seizure from that .gif — GirlOnInternet

- Yeah I'm absolutely certain he didn't. You can usually tell right off the bat if someone is epileptic because they have glasses that look like mine with some kind of blue/polarized tinting to them. Like the kind Hillary was wearing at one point during her campaign (although she had like super expensive ones). And it's impossible to weaponize such a GIF in the first place since epilepsy isn't static, different frequencies/patterns/wavelengths for every case. Otherwise epilepsy wouldn't even be a thing because we would know exactly which combinations/patterns to block out at the hardware level. The odds of that specific GIF (which just so happens to be claiming to cause seizures) would be at the exact/precise pattern needed for his unique (imaginary) epilepsy to trigger is like... absolutely statistically improbable to the point of being just outright nonsense. It's like claiming you won the lottery while magically getting struck by lightning simultaneously. --Mimkrys

His recent tweet[edit]
Looks like Kurt Eichenbald menaged to talk about him again, this time with the following tweet to Ann Coulter. https://twitter.com/kurteichenwald/status/958178438472486912 Some folks replied about his tentacles porn. --Sd-100 (talk) 22:38, 29 January 2018 (EST)
Kurt Eichenbald strikes again[edit]
I saw that article on the Ralph Retort along with Youtube clips where Kurt Eichenbald goes nuts again. https://theralphretort.com/pretend-pedophile-kurt-eichenwald-loses-his-mind-over-youtube-video-threatens-̶l̶u̶l̶s̶u̶i̶t̶-lawsuit-2023018/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TSA5xy_NJZ8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MT33nTHW1VQ --Sd-100 (talk) 03:19, 25 February 2018 (UTC)

He strikes again again[edit]
- In recent weeks he threatened to dox someone and then started a fight with one of the Parkland shooting survivors, then tried to pretend he was trying to bully a different teenager and confused the two, and now sponsors are pulling out of MSNBC because of him.

- Um... can we maybe put all the quotes into morphquotes etc so the page isn't needlessly long and maybe add some actual descriptions of what happened so there's actual content?
- Oh, btw, that teenager he mistook for the one who survived the shooting? He was black and the shooting survivor was white.

This keeps getting crazier.[edit]
- He's now accusing Ben Shapiro of conspiring against him in a series of lengthy emails. Now both MSNBC and Vanity Fair deny he works for them so he was either fired of he imagined he had a job.

Possibly missing (imprisonment, seizure GIF) and fixes (linkrot)[edit]
Add maybe:
- I looked through all of the images and didn't see the original seizure GIF.
- Did the person who sent the GIF actually go to jail after being sued? How long? 10 years? (If he was imprisoned then Kurt Eichenbald truly is a dumb cunt that does dumb shit; why'd he press the play button?)
Kurt Eichenbald is irresponsible.
I've noticed that there are many archive.is links at ED. Has anyone here seen a URL shortening service die? Say there is a website called http://sht.url (meaning "short URL"). Say this website has millions of shortened URLs like this: http://sht.url/7abc8999 (links to https://www.exascaleproject.org/what-is-exascale/), http://sht.url/6abc8ff9 (links to http://www.italymagazine.com/featured-story/how-pronounce-c-italian), http://sht.url/bcfff880 (links to https://books.google.com/books?id=6mGmxYqqiREC&pg=PA185&dq=Aluminum+Lake&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwirqKes08bZAhXD44MKHeOtC7IQ6AEIOzAE#v=onepage&q&f=false). When this sht.url website dies all of its URLs are now useless shit URLs. I fear that that might happen with archive.is (only very well established websites, such as web.archive.org, "do not die").
TL;DR: The fully quantified URLs of archive.is should be used instead of the short URLs
- https://archive.is/8JSkD - shorted link of the link of the next bullet point
- https://archive.is/20180401181314/https://www.nytimes.com/1987/01/11/magazine/braving-epilepsy-s-storm.html
