  19. BTW: If what Netanyahu has said is true, and Trump plans to tear up the Iran deal in May, then this may influence Mattis’ calculus. Mitigate blowback in Syria by not striking IRGC targets on top of that decision. Mattis is an Iran hawk but a cautious and conservative one.
