    If true, this demand is the obvious American counter to a Russian "offer." I expect it would have gone like this: Russia: "we'll deliver concessions vis-a-vis in order to avert a US strike" US: "sure, give us an Iran-free .......(as if)."

    I always laugh when I see these reports of Hizballah "withdrawing" from Syria: 1.They built bases there. 2.They have Syrian extension groups. 3. Withdrawing from some positions ≠ "pulling out of the country." 4.I wrote something about this in oct. 2013(!)

  10. Syrie: Macron ne veut pas de "frappes élargies" contre les alliés iraniens de Damas, de peur d'une "escalade" militaire. Ce n'est probablement pas le cas de Trump. Jusqu'à quel point Trump écoutera Macron? Sérieux doutes. D'où le risque d'être entraîné ds 1 aventure risquée.

    Arab & Kurdish sources in Efrin have confirmed to me that dozens of displaced families from eastern Ghouta have been placed in homes of Kurds who fled in the face of the Turkish+FSA offensive. Kurdish locals fear demographic engineering by Turkey.
