The comments like these always make my head spin too. On one hand, logical brain knows they’re going too far, but introspective brain is like,is this a fair reaction? Am I really so shitty that I deserve death wishes? Do I really need to die to repent for my opinion? Fuck.

But honestly seeing you call out this gross behavior is cathartic because, as someone else online, I can look at your situation and see that this person is troubled and it most definitely isn’t you. Plus the positive community you’ve built will always heal you when you’re hurt.

And seeing that it happens to people as wonderful as you, and that it bothers you, reminds me that it’s okay to be upset, and it’s okay to be hurt. But you always power through it, so I guess I can too.

We often discuss how in real life people interact with a few dozen people, from work/school etc. You can put a face or name to ppl talking shit about you, and confront them or cut them out. But as a YT, ppl freely talk about you online but we can’t “see” them or confront them.

It makes you feel helpless and pretty crazy. But after a good cry/rant/drink we remind ourselves that these ppl truly don’t know us. They are seeing us through whatever filter their mind has created and twisting reality into whatever they need to feed their own insecurities.

That's awful! I live in Japan and miss Korea so I would love for you guys to talk more about the differences you have experienced, but these people make it impossible!

I know! We still eat kimchi at home, make Korean food, and squeal with delight when we find a legit Korean restaurant. There are tons of things we’d love to talk about, Korea was our life, we can’t just erase it, but I don’t think we can mentally handle another flood of hate.

It’s almost like having an ex-boyfriend/girlfriend that’s REALLY mad about you dumping them, so they’ve gone crazy and are screaming at you everyday. And you’re trying to just remember all the good times.

That cannot possibly be the majority of the comments. I also don't think that person is a regular in the EYK community. They're just random trolls that probably wouldn't even see this Twitter post about them.

Your real fans that watch all your videos and listen to you podcasts cannot possibly be that rude... Can they? I always imagined EYK community were friends that we just haven't met yet.

It was actually our Korean friends that told us about the website, but you can’t stop the rumour train once it gets going. Not even with 7 years of positive videos about Korea.

I mean after what Tablo went through when he had direct proof it should be clear that there is absolutly no way of stopping this as it is at the moment :/ If people want to hate they will find reasons to forgetting that they are dealing with humans all the time.
