It has its limitations that’s for sure (beyond those related to appropriate vocabulary!). I tend to only use it in very central areas of Tokyo, and even here there’s times when it can’t find an available taxi.

Apparently when a driver doesn’t know the name of their customer he/she would put “上様”, guess foreigners are bit...em...different, aka “外様”?

Seems like every user with the empty Name(Kana) field gets that word as auto-filled in the mail. The app running on Jp lang says Name(Kana) is required while it's optional on En lang. They could send it without that line if empty.pic.twitter.com/Ea7BYYEryS
