The Tweet is a joke. Other than that, the UK DIDN'T have to have the colour of Commie Red for UK/EU passport, but that's what they decided on.

Agreed, I understand Croatia has a blue passport so why didn’t we follow them, I’m just glad we will no longer be following the EU into a world of oblivion of their own making come March 2019.

(Note that these post-Brexit passports will be manufactured by Dutch-French Gemalto)

Yes. If our divorcees draw that amount of pride in getting a different passport colour as a good bargain for losing access to all of the EU, then actually not even letting them them their own colour would be, indeed, a quite trollish-funny thing. IMO.

Oh please, by all means make fun of us. I encourage it! We need something to hammer this xenophobic post-colonial wet boi into a more humble shape, and to remind it we're a part of the world, not just invading it.

With our own election results, and looking at parts of our cabinet, we are in absolutely no positions to make fun of you in general (and neither is any of our EU neighbors). But I will make fun of all those nationalists, independent of whether they are your country's or mine.
