It is false that the three major types of faults are normal, reverse, and syncline. It is true that normal and reverse are indeed types of faults, but syncline aren't - instead of them, the third type are the strike-slip faults. Syncline fold is a term, but not a syncline fault - these folds occur as a result of a bend in a strike-slip fault.
