      Concept of #gentrification doesn't correlate well to Japan Where in Tokyo is gentrifying the most? Some say Nakameguro & Kabukicho Others?

          I'm certainly no expert, have viewed it as organic neighborhoods overrun by larger commercial interests. Maybe too simple.

          You're right. In Japan it's commercial replacing residential. In USA it's (often) white residents replacing non white residents

          I think in Japan the displacement tends to happen more from large scale development than organic gentrification.
