While it was unfortunate that folks got their verified ticks removed, it’s been hilarious to see some bungloafs act like it’s an attack on their free speech. We all accepted the terms and conditions when creating our accounts. Twitter doesn’t owe us anything. Adapt or bounce.

Indeed. I understand calling Twitter out for their hypocrisy in regards to the checkmark's meaning, but free speech isn't being affected by the checkmark being removed.

I have more social reach than a great deal of verified accounts I’ve encountered here; it does nothing save show folks that you’re the official you.

It's just odd that Twitter is reacting to morons who honestly thought that the blue check mark was an endorsement by catering to those same drooling imbeciles.

It is strategic fuckery. Adapt or bounce is the only option, but the play on their end is shady and ill intentioned. It’s not bad to point it out

Well they kind of changed those TOS a few weeks ago to activity off twitter, the only accts being de verified are conservative or right wing while hollywood rapists keep theirs-the hypocrisy is what pisses me off.

All terms and conditions (ironclad ones at least) have a clause in there that suggests that the terms can change at any point.

Even though you're 100% correct, don't you think it is very dishonest? It's like building a house following the rules whereafter the legislator changes the rules and say you have to destroy your house because it is not respecting the changed rules.
