        about bloody time... most website owners I know are reactive, so there is going to be a month or so of broken sites until their web developers get them fixed up. Pays to stay in the loop.

        So, what you're really saying is that since no one has renewed their Domain Name Leases, and therefore they are not using Verisign, no browser will connect to ANY WEBSITE? I wonder why?

        You've got things mixed up a bit. This is about TLS certificates, which are used to secure your connection and (sort of) prove that you're talking to who you think you are. Domain name leases are completely separate, and unaffected by this.

        Yeah sure, I'm blonde or something. Verisign is the tech that secures your connection (green padlock in the URL box). Certs are issued with PAID DOMAIN NAMES, which have clearly, EXPIRED.
