Round 2! oh my heart just shattered… Yaya x Hikari lost?! oh im gonna be sick T.T and having to choose the final kiss between Chimeko and the first epic kiss between Kaon and Himiko was utterly painful! but a choice had to be made. CHIMEKO FOR LIFE!!!!
The previous round’s results amuse me. More than half Versus seem to have ended close to 50/50; those that had more distinct results were generally paired against more popular series and “fan favorite” or main characters. Mutual and non-accidental kisses seem to fair a tad better, too.
I’d suggest putting more competitive items (e.g. similar kiss situations from differing but equally popular series rather than grouping by show or couple) against another next tournament, or even randomizing them more (again, un-grouping shows/characters), but I guess this way also serves as an interesting filtering mechanism to make later rounds more exciting…. GJ, this is fun~

Alright. Good stuff. My finals already happened. Have your finals already happened? But now I can relax and see which yuri animes and kisses I haven’t watched, before some random Sakura Trick kiss knocks out “The sun shines for the moon” confession.
My gut:
-The winner will be a very mainstream, very overt, very alpha yuri couple.
-The winner will be a very explicitly consensual kiss. No CPRs or rapes here (or from the beginning it looks like)…
-The winner will be from an anime less than 2-3 years old. Because people have that short an attention span and Citrus happened.
-There will be a boatload of nosebleeds and harsh choices.
I’m expecting underwater and sun/moon to get surprised in the quarters by some randos, but good luck!
The winner might also be a pair from an older series. Strawberry Panic and Kannazuki no Miko will probably make it very far, though same definitely goes for Sakura Trick as well.
As for something similar to a final… well, there were two himikoxKoan kisses competing in the first round… and thus one of my favorite kisses (the onsen one) didn’t even make it past round 1. Well, no wonder, it went up against another HimkoxKaon kiss anyway
Wow! Looks so fun! And difficult! But I do want the winner to be something canon and not over-rated. Yes, I’m looking at you, Ilya and Valkyrie.
I knew Hilda and Ange would be here, but, no offence to their fans, this pairing is down the bottom of my list. Their kiss is… normal?
I’m shocked and hurt that Lyn and Jenny aren’t even in the bracket instead. I’m convinced that their split-second frames beat every adventure kisses by some good 300 percent. Now if only Shizuru and Natsuki had more… I doubt Shinsekai’s MariaxSaki will make it, but I still deem it one of the best scenes.
That being, I’m rooting for the classics. Particularly Chimeko! I’d change minds if within a week, a certain lyrical magical’s creators will publish a canon art of yuri kisses.
…Well, only miracles like that would change my mind tho.

I have to vote for AkaChina, even though I know the kiss was wrong, and wasn’t the best, but… it’s AKACHINA!! If KyouAya had an actual kiss that wasn’t in delusions alone, I’d probably vote for that, but since it’s always delusions of Chitose….yeah

The previous round’s results amuse me. More than half Versus seem to have ended close to 50/50; those that had more distinct results were generally paired against more popular series and “fan favorite” or main characters. Mutual and non-accidental kisses seem to fair a tad better, too.
I’d suggest putting more competitive items (e.g. similar kiss situations from differing but equally popular series rather than grouping by show or couple) against another next tournament, or even randomizing them more (again, un-grouping shows/characters), but I guess this way also serves as an interesting filtering mechanism to make later rounds more exciting…. GJ, this is fun~
