I did a Korean TV interview while in Seoul. Was told afterward that there was pressure from their editorial board not to be too critical of the Moon Administration, so they cut a lot. Don't you love the new sense of openness and transparency with the change in administration?

Hi Bruce. There must have been a misunderstanding. I’M THE “EDITORIAL BOARD” and I can tell you that is absolutely not true. I think you can clearly tell from the final piece that aired on our news #arirangtv

Yes, there was pressure from American since 1945 for all Koreans! We Koreans always had to obey American including people like you. Now you know how it feels. Please don't whine. You still have 28, 000 American soldiers in Korea. You are good! No worries!

Can't buy your words since most of Korean media and newspapers are harsh towards Moon's government unlike Korean people's favorance.

Really? How very laughable.... Kim Tae-Hoon - a reporter of SBS - bravely exposed how Moon Jae-In government tell lies/ how Blue House controls what are being reported/ track down reporters who wrote what BH didn't like...http://www.pennmike.com/news/articleView.html?idxno=1325 …

Is this? http://www.futurekorea.co.kr/news/articleView.html?idxno=101644 … Most of Korean broadcastings posting negative articles about Government. In that manner I really can't sure whether the editors forced to "protect the Govern", or "just select preferable words to support their opinions". Needs more clues.

Yes, I also love higher corporate taxes, higher capital gains tax and generally higher labour costs. Great for corporate profits and competitiveness. Not. They will increase the rate of offshoring, automation, and capital outflow...

It's totally a paradox. Presidant Moon's supporters say not to give pressure on speech but they are doing the same thing; Blaming and giving political and media pressure to the people against presidant Moon.

Due to failure of former conservative government of Madame Park Geun Hye, liberals is politically superior in Seoul now. Any critical opinion about President Moon and his liberal government is branded as support for failed & corrupt conservatives. Imbalance of power.

Interesting. but I think it is a long-term trend to control the media in ROK? I hear from anecdotal evidence that even foreign press outside ROK are asked for their questions, and only selected journos get to ask certain questions. This applied even in previous conservative govts

Well. I believe there are some other ladies and gentlemen in Seoul who may have better answers on that question; especially at press.

Nothing surprising in South Korea. BTW, in Japan, main stream media are all run buy China (partly Korea) money.
