      考えてみてほしい。21世紀にもなって、それも世界トップレベルの経済技術大国の国民にも関わらず、環境破壊や外来種の放流等ではなく、「美味しかったので食い尽くしてしまったうえほぼ何の対策もしなかった」という理由で世界中に広く分布していた生物を絶滅寸前まで追いこんでいるということを

      本当なら行政に働きかける等すべきなんだろうけど、悲しいかな。そもそも行政からして動く気が感じられないうえに問題意識すら抱いていなさそうという八方塞がり感。

      私がウナギの件で絶望しかけてる理由が、絶滅危惧だと知るとメディアや企業はこぞって「絶滅する前に食べておこう」みたいなキャンペーンを展開して多くの国民がそれに乗っかり、水産行政は何も対策も取らないどころか「ウナギを食べて応援」とか言いそうと今の時点で容易に予想がつくからなんだよね。

          そしてこちらが彼らの間違いを指摘・説明しても決まって帰ってくるのが「絶滅するなら今の内に食べておけばいいじゃない」「絶滅危惧種絶滅危惧種うるさい。その程度で絶滅する軟弱な生き物なら絶滅するのが自然の掟」ばかり。もう絶望するしかないよね。
