Keywords there. "At the factory". People that have their consoles now are fine. If you buy a Switch, say, a month or two from now, you'd be out of luck.

I remember from 34C3 it was said there was something in the Tegra chip that allowed Nintendo to push bootrom patches via updates? does your exploit somehow disable/bypass the bootrom patches before they are applied?

by saying "in currently released Switches" means thos that came with 3.0 or you mean even the latest firmware updated switch? if so i'm not updating mine anymore.

Alright you see, a bootrom is a part of the hardware, it isnt able to be changed unless they remake it and u buy a new one, if you have a switch right now, you are fine
