Japan Nov. Jobless Rate Falls to 24-Yr Low of 2.7 Pct
Tokyo, Dec. 26 (Jiji Press)--Japan's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in November stood at a 24-year low of 2.7 pct, down 0.1 percentage point from the previous month, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications said Tuesday.
The number of jobless people decreased by 20,000, or 1.1 pct, from the previous month to 1.85 million after seasonal adjustment, the ministry also said.
Separately, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare said the ratio of job openings to job seekers in November stood at 1.56, up 0.01 point from the previous month.
