I was thinking something similar, I am not disappointed that you said it.
-
I still can't fathom the fact that this is real, it's a really scary video
-
It’s terrifying, I just looked at it in shock and then wondered what the special effects budget was.
-
So had I. Never saw a video like this
-
I mean to think a real live set of hell... impressive
-
Indeed
-
you’d be forgiven for thinking this is in a movie. facing it up front in person is scary as hell

The wild life there.

Welcome to California's Chaparral biome! o/ Wildfires are actually a part of the natural rhythm of our state. Many of our animals are burrowers, and many of our plants don't germinate unless they've been burnt. It's scary, but an inescapable part of life here.

I'd suggest this 2-page PDF on California's relationship with fire from
@CAgovernment if you'd like to know more. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://calfire.ca.gov/communications/downloads/live_w_fire.pdf&ved=0ahUKEwju_8q6kfbXAhUJ_WMKHRxuBNIQFggmMAU&usg=AOvVaw3G2VGDGzX255w5iIX7peVn … -
What you say is interesting, oddly it’s nature I care more about anyway. I hope many that don’t burrow at least moved out of the area.
-
Wildfires don't start at night.
-
Wildfires can start at any time, for any reason, with proper fuel (i.e. dry plant debris) and the right conditions. Lightning, illegal campfires, cigarettes, controlled burns getting out of hands, etc.
-
What caused this one?

Yeah I definitely do not see this when driving around the rolling green hills of Denmark. Are you guys sure America is still located on this same mortal plane we used to share??
-
Honestly, no.
-
America, yes. California, no.
-
I take that drive often. Yes, lots of dry brush, small trees.
-
There need to be come kind of...i dunno, strategy done about this even if its like, once in a while a helicoptor has to come by and dump water on the hills once a month just in case
-
Unfortunately California's vegetation is designed to burn. We live in a Chaparral, a biome where many plants can't even germinate until they've been burnt. We live in nature's tinderbox.
-
I think the term you are looking for is evolved, not designed. Who/what would design such a thing?
-
Poor word choice on my part. If I could edit I would.
