Application Process

This section applied to anyone born in the U.S., who has a green card or is a refugee seeking asylum in the U.S.

You must submit your application by the deadlines below in order to be considered in a timely way for funding.

Application Details

When filling out the university application:

  1. Click the  "U.S. Students" link
  2. Carefully read the information on the resulting page.
  3. Click on the gold "Graduate Application” link at the bottom. 

Application Deadlines

  • Fall Admission: Dec. 1.  Note:  The software closes on this date at 23:59pm Colorado "Mountain" Time.
  • Spring Admission: Sept. 1
  • Summer Admission: Only for those enrolled and advancing to PhD

It is important to submit as early as possible. To be considered for admission in your preferred semester, all of your application materials must be received by 11:59 p.m. MT on the preferential or final date. Applications received beyond that time will not be considered.

"All application materials" is defined as:

  • the application itself
  • payment of application fee
  • Statement of Purpose
  • CV
  • GRE scores sent solely by ETS
  • scanned copies (unofficial are fine for the application) of all transcripts, marksheets and proof of degree/s earned at any university or (community) college in any country globally
  • at least three of four recommendation letters (four recommender names and emails must be listed in the application, in order for you to be able to submit, but only three need to be received from the writers in order to be reviewed for admission)
