Studying for 3 years in Japanese cultural subjects and have spent over 2 months there and I'm still far from an expert. 
Someone on Facebook that lived in japan for 8 months and calls themselves a "japan expert" Has zero academic experience studying about Japan; only studied ESL and education. This person is not a japan expert. Stop pretending like you are when you're clearly not.

Exactly. It's best we avoid calling ourselves such high labels because there's always someone with more knowledge and experience ahead of us.
