I have owned various versions of the SRK since the Carbon V editions from the Nineties. Cold Steel is always razor sharp from the factory. The fit between the sheath and knife is nice and tight. Just wish that Cold Steel would use a different material, because their sheaths are notorious for dulling the blades because of their composition. This particular blade earned its name because of an over-built piñata at my nieces birthday party that even wooden bats couldn't break ! I told the kiddies to stand back whilst I put on a cutting demonstration for them. Just a few choice slash strokes later and it was raining candy. Because of the great edge geometry from the factory, it only took a few passes on my ceramics and some stropping to bring the edge back to "life". There is a reason certain knife models stand the test of time. This knife is a great example of why. No frills design and function, built with quality materials, and at a decent price.
