I hate when gaijin who don’t speak Japanese well, work a regular job here, have any Japanese best friends, and have lived here less than 3-5 years pen articles about Japan. You have said nothing original and understand very little. #gaijinconfessionfriday
And why do you think you’re so much better than other people that are just trying their hardest to share their experiences with others???

I don’t think I’m better than anyone. I do, however, think it’s impossible to write articles extolling the virtues Japan or commenting on social problems if you have very little normal contact (i.e. beyond being the token gaijin) with Japanese people.

Also, there is no shortage of people writing about stuff in vending machines, the virtues of Japanese politeness, & condemning Japanese work culture. Most writers do it for vanity’s sake, & due to inexperience, barely scratch the heart of these issues. It looks and sounds cheap.

If you feel you fall into this category, instead of being butthurt at me about it, why not work on better immersing yourself into Japanese society and giving yourself more credibility when you write?
-
I dont write. I also dont understand who you think you are or why you’re getting so worked up about something that doesn’t affect you at all
-
Nor do I understand why YOU got granted 240 characters. Keep your negativity to yourself and stop putting others down for living their lives
-
I think the only one worked up is you? I didn’t ask 240 characters just like I didn’t ask for you to hop on my Twitter slinging insults.
Keep being bitter and self righteous. I’m sure it’ll take you far in life.pic.twitter.com/Wta7OqfaTY
