Yeah, I understand that. I'm pretty sure it wasn't planned out, it just went a lot more date-y than I expected (paying for things + ferris wheel rides).

I tried to max out my Charm so we'll see how the next one goes!

Hahah, it's true you may be on to something. I met him because our hobby is cosplay; I met a girl at an event, and we talked about characters we liked. She showed me her friend (who was dressed as my absolute favorite), I gushed a but about how handsome he was.

I made a cosplay of that character's wife (a bit obvious, I know, I like the guy), the three of us planned to meet, but... She dropped out a week before the event. Just the two of us were at the theme park together, dressed as a fictional couple doing coupley things.

Did she set it up?? I'd be amazed but I'll never know, haha.

This may seem like an odd question, but what fo Japanese guys think on less long-term/serious relationships? I like him very much, but I will only be in Japan another year at most (he knows this). I'd like to have fun together while we can, but I don't know if Japanese culture is strictly serious dating or friends, no in between.

No, which is what made me wonder about it. It was also our first time meeting in person though, haha. A handshake at the end only... :P (He seemed uncertain how to end it, and went with that, it was a bit funny)

I'll see how it goes next time we meet.

It's funny, because I know at least part of it wasn't planned, since we stood around for 40 minutes waiting for a group (who ended up doing their own thing) and he seemed genuinely awkward about it. Maybe it was an elaborate ruse? I can hope, haha.

I'll be headed back to Tokyo in a few weeks, so maybe I'll balls up and ask him if he'd like to hang at a themed bar I know.

I actually live in Japan right now, though I'm originally from PA.

My pet does art, so more exposure might mean more sales of that, which is cool. I guess I'm just trying to make sure that I won't lose anything by agreeing they can use images (from my FB, twitter, and Instagram). Again, exposure IS definitely good, I just want to make sure it's not something people are usually paid for... I'm new to this, and don't want to be taken for a ride due to inexperience.
