ProxFree is a simple and completely free web proxy service. Perfect for those looking to bypass censorship restrictions and/or looking to browse the internet privately, anonymously and securely.

Server Location Server LocationThis is the location of the main webserver you use when connected to ProxFree. In general, this should be as close to your actual location as possible for maximum speed and the best browsing experience. We automatically try to decide which is the best for you based on your IP address and make this the default/top of the list. This may not always be the best choice, so the option is there to change as you see fit.

Allow cookies

Allow CookiesMost websites use small files called cookies to identify your session. This is generally required for logging in to websites and storing your specific preferences. However, they are sometimes used to track your browsing habits. Uncheck this option to remove cookies for the remote websites.

Remove page titles

Remove page TitlesPage titles are the text displayed in the tab of your web browser and at the top of the browser window. They are also the text that is displayed in your browsing history. Enable this option to remove the titles from all pages through the proxy so that titles do not show up in your web browser and in your browsing history. This option also removes favicons for the same reason.

IP Address Location IP Address LocationThe location from which you appear to the remote website. All IP addresses geolocate to a particular location. This option changes which IP address your request is routed through and we have listed the places which we locate the IPs. Please note that using anything other than the default will slow things down a slightly as your request is being routed through an extra server.

Remove scripts

Remove scriptsScripts are often used to create fancy effects on websites and add increased functionality and features. The way they work means they can be difficult for the proxy to handle. This means some scripts may request resources directly from your internet connection, not using the proxy and compromising your anonymity. Those concerned about their privacy should enable this option, but be warned that it may break the functionality of a lot of websites.

Remove objects

Remove objectsThis option removes objects (such as Flash and Java) from the webpages. These objects may make requests to external resources outside of the proxy environment, compromising your anonymity. Enable this option to Remove objects.

No referer

No refererThe referer header (yes, it's supposed to be spelled incorrectly!) tells the remote website the previous page you were on that linked you to where you are now, or the page that you're currently on for requested resources on the current page. Enabling this option will send a blank referer for all requests.

No user agent

No user agentThe user agent header contains information about your computer. This is sent for all requests to resources and webpages. Enabling this option means that we will remove your user agent from the request and will replace it with a false (but valid) one instead.

More informationSimply enter the address of the website you wish to access in the bar above and press enter or click "ProxFree". ProxFree acts as an intermediate (i.e. "proxy") between you and the target website. This means that you see the target website, but the address bar in your browser contains "proxfree.com". Therefore, as long as you have access to ProxFree.com you have access to any website even in a censored environment.

Your privacy and anonymity is maintained since the remote website sees only the proxy server and it's IP address. In this sense it acts as an anonymous proxy. ProxFree features easily changable IP addresses from many locations worldwide. You can change your apparent location in an instant, free of charge!

We also feature webservers in multiple locations around the globe. In general, you should use a server close you you for the fastest speed and browsing experience. All of the servers have secure SSL encryption capabilities meaning that, if enabled, the connection between your computer and ProxFree is encrypted. This is means that a third party listening in on your web browsing will see only encrypted data. It is recommended that you make sure SSL is enabled by checking the padlock symbol to the left of the URL bar above and making sure that you see https in the address bar of your browser.
