Should employees be allowed to use their personal opinion create a toxic environment at workplace that affects morale and performance.

Who's opinion counts is the question? Does his? Does it matter that if you don't agree you afraid to say so? Toxic for who, him?

I think as a general rule workplace is not the place for activism...personal or political...

This is true to a point,but what do you do if they hire people who are less qualified because of race, gender and so on? Update your resume

See that is your opinion....and a company can hire whoever they want...do you think all employees are hired b/c they are the most qualified?

Hire someone or not hiring someone because of its race or gender is called racism and sexism and is against the law in the civilized world

Darwin was not a Google employee. I think any employee's personal and political views should stay out of workplace.

Employers can manage staff in ANY WAY THEY SEE FIT, as long as their practices comport w/law. This boy is an idiot who wants attention

That may be true, but that can't stop the public from being upset about it. Personally, I dont believe he has grounds to sue google though.

Don't think "the public" is upset about it, I think it's a set of whiners complaining. Nobody has the right to a job, keep it by doing well

And from what we can tell, he was fired because of his political view. Yes, noone has a right to a job, but the outrage is still justified.

I disagree, he made himself unacceptable to most of the workforce when he said 1/2 the population was unfit. Who wants to work with him?

Darwin wasn't correct on his views 4 women.he ignored evidence around him that women didn’t have the same freedom & opportunities as men.

Women had few rights during Darwin's time & hence didn't have access/not allowed contributing in higher fields

so Darwin's assumptions were just based on his understanding of surrounding social structure.He is proved wrong by many women since then
