Is this a positive or negative maneuver in your opinion and why?

(1/3) I argued that his enemies have it--so why not the public? His enemies will just milk isolated phrases for weeks or months...

(2/3) with their own context, spin and according to their own strategic timetable. Better to be transparent and have the full context..

(3/3) but would have been safer for us to publish it anonymously sourced. By publishing it himself it is easier to submit as evidence.

So he could get ahead of story by getting behind his story, so that somebody else couldn't make another story. Of his story. Headache worse.

Junior wanted to release the e-mails before the NYT did & thus create the illusion of honesty.

@hauserbua is right... they not only lied for a year, they accused the rest of us of making up stories. Shameful.

And Junior is only admitting what can no longer be kept secret, so I bet there is more to come.
