[Anon IC] I’ve been accused of theft of a magical object. The typical penalty for that if I’m found guilty includes a “Geas or other Compulsion against a repeat offence”. Is there any way to ask for this to be changed to some other punishment? I have been under Compulsions before, and I would honestly prefer pretty much any other punishment, including death.
There is no standard way to appeal a punishment, but you can attempt a plea bargain in exchange for altered sentence possibilities, and in some provinces, you are always permitted to demand a term of gladiator service in lieu of a conventional punishment for theft.
