Women's rights protests have been taking place across the world, inspired by Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale.
The cult dystopian novel tells of a world in which fertile women are reduced to walking wombs, and forced to wear red robes with white bonnets. With its recent resurgence, due to a TV adaptation, women are harnessing Atwood's depiction of female oppression to protest against everything from anti-abortion legislation to President Trump.
