I can't really disagree with you there. (Well, I do know of a case where a guy successfully exercised his right to keep his own heart despite his original's wishes. A case. One.) But I know there are people in the situation I was in, thinking there's no point in trying for anything, there's no hope anything good will ever happen to you, why not just give up and wait to die? I mean, yes, it will be hard. You'll probably end up on the butcher's block. But only probably!
There are success stories, a small but increasing number. I’d consider myself one, on reflection. I don’t want to encourage clones to give up.
