About this project
I'm Jackie Seawright.
I found out that approximately about 5000 children visit emergency room each year for backpack related injuries, and at least 14,000 kids are treated for them? My little project took on a much bigger meaning.
When I saw my own son Chris, struggle with the weight of his backpack, I knew I had to create a better way for him to carry everything he needed while staying focused convenience and fashion. That’s why I designed The Flatpak!
The Flatpak is a backpack that has a uniquely designed way to carry your lunch while also offering safety features. The FlatPak is also compartmentalized into sections so you only carry the sections you need for the day Please Donate!
Your donations are needed to perfect the Flatpak prototype and begin our marketing and sales efforts!
Risks and challenges
The risks and challenges we face include not raising enough capital to complete our prototype. We risk people not supporting the idea. We don't believe this will be the case as everyone who hears about Flatpak loves the idea! We also run the risk of not having enough funds to create our first order. But who doesn't love Peanut butter and Cup of noodles anyway??? We will do what we have to do to make it all happen. I am more than ready to walk away from my current profession to begin working full time with Flatpak, but there has to be funds to make that happen. Two additional team members are ready to walk away and commit full time to Flatpak also but we have to be able to support ourselves. Another challenge is finding a mentor to guide us through the process. We want it to be the right person who really knows the business even more than we do. They have to believe in the Flatpak like we do. I know we will succeed and we only want people who feel the same.
