Could you imagine if this was some kind of BLM commercial?

Every right-wing YouTube channel would have an in-depth criticism and condemnation within minutes.

Why does the #HerVoiceIsMyVoice video have 58K likes to 93K dislikes while this piece of shit literal propaganda NRA ad has a positive Like/Dislike ratio?

Because the entire internet is either alt-right or neutral with a right-leaning bias.

The right-wing has been stoking Eliminationist rhetoric since the nineties. So far it has only led to sporadic isolated acts of violence. How long before we start seeing something more coordinated?

This was a very good article.

Unless the cops or the military do it for them, I doubt we'll be seeing any coordinated efforts from the far right. The past two decades has only seen these people becoming lazier, more supply-side, more entitled, and way more idiotic (thanks to technology). Plus, their wholesale hatred of elitism would make it near impossible for them to accept leaders who make real demands of them. They flock to shit like Trump rallies and behind idiots like Alex Jones because it's easy. What disturbs me most about this latest ad is that the NRA seems to be fully aware of this and, as such, is openly calling for a heavily-armed police state. I'm reminded that almost every cop I know on Facebook is big into the iconography of gun culture and 'don't tread on me', to a point where it's hard to figure out where Blues Live Matter ends and the NRA begins.

Generally "threats" to free speech in the media can only come from the left, while the regular reactionary practice of death threats and harassment is treated as SOP and nothing to worry about. It's a large-scale issue and it has been for a while. http://fair.org/home/threats-to-campus-speech-dont-alarm-media-when-they-come-from-the-right/

Case in point: The_Donald kids that whine about censorship in any sub that bans them.

We need to hope for a big fat recession under Trump. I want this nation to understand

They won't. Reaganomics was a disaster and Bush Sr didn't make anything better. The economy got better under Clinton. It fell apart under Bush Jr. The economy got better under Obama. It could very well fall apart again under Trump and they'll refuse to see the pattern, the same way that they refuse to see that red states tend to have worse economies than blue states.

You could go even further back and point out Coolidge tried the whole laissez-faire thing and it resulted in the Great Depression.

Not only that, but it depends on who it is you're being a dickbag to, which is why attacking blacks is just "giving your two cents" and something you're "intellectually weak" (Bernie Sanders) for seeing the obvious racism. It's why trans people being harassed is just "questionable" (Wisconsin) but still ultimately free speech to a university, but pedophilia is going too far and incites the wrath of CPAC and the white left. It's so disgusting. You can very clearly see the line drawn and who all both the apologist left and the right are willing to shit on.

It's bad enough when rightwingers throw this shit around, but we have way too many white leftists more than willing to accommodate them.

Two way street. If you have yours, I gotta have mine. That's how I view free speech. It's pointless otherwise.
