Fox News host Tucker Carlson said on Friday that Defense Secretary James Mattis should resign after he delayed enlistment for transgender individuals instead of altogether blocking integration.

Carlson told his guest and former Obama administration official Patrick Granfield that he should have resigned when the Pentagon decided to allow transgender enlistees. Granfield followed Carlson's charge by asking if Mattis should resign given his apparent refusal to reverse that decision.

“Yeah, I think ...” Carlson stated in response before Granfield interrupted.

He also seemed to suggest that either Mattis or former Defense Secretary Ash Carter was a “coward” for not resigning in the face of a request to allow transgender enlistees.

Independent Journal Review previously reported that Mattis accepted the recommendation to delay enlistment for transgender members until the beginning of 2018.

Lana Wood(9 likes)Transgenders do not belong in the military. They have a very high rate of suicide. When your buddies depend on you for making sure you're safe, you don't need a suicidal case next to you.
Marc Conder(7 likes)The insanity of taking a person who believes they are another sex when all the objective data says otherwise is patently rediculous.Transgenderd people, if they even amount to more then a handful here in the us , can not, and will never be able to fullfill the requirements of our active military. Every single person, from E1 provates to the general of the army are all considered combat troops should the need arise.Imagine a man/woman/man who requires regular doses of assorted medications to get thru their day serving. Add into the the assorted emotional  upheavels, the suicidal tendancies and the unknown physical attractions set lose in a command where you must absolutely depend on the person next to you.Many social experiements are noble, However, our military is not the group to play with. Our mission to is be willing to lay down our lives to protect the USA. Our mission is violent. it involves killing. it is not for anyone, male, female or inbetween who need any sort of personal coddeling. It requires string, mentally and physically members who can not only take care of them selves, but if one of their buddies should fall in the line of fire, must be able to assist them as well.The requirements here are not a comment on transgendered people, but they are a comment on what the military demands. If you can not meet the military requirements for any MOS, you simply do not belong within the military framwork.
