Anonymous asked: Is there a map of Amenta anywhere? I keep trying to figure out where things are relative to each other but it would be easier with a map.
I have some geography that @lintamande generated for me but I haven’t drawn any countries on it yet. Some Geography Facts:
If you consider Europe and Asia all one continent and are at all dubious about Australia, Amenta sort of only has one continent, in the northern hemisphere and quite wide, with some blobby extensions south and some big islands souther and some little islands about. But that makes the concept of a continent less useful so the blobby bits and the big islands probably count formally for Amentans’ purposes. This adds up to less total land area than Earth.
Tapa and Voa are big. Voa is bigger, geographically, maybe a little less than China sized, and norther and shares a border with Tapa (Voa is northwest of Tapa). Tapa also borders Anitam (Anitam is to the east) and Calado (it’s south), and probably also borders other places because it is big. Oahk borders Calado and Anitam. These are all unambiguously on the big continent except that Calado and Oahk extend onto a blobby bit. Anitam is about the size and composition of America if you snipped out everything between the Rockies and ~West Virginia.
Biyan is in the southern hemisphere. I don’t think I’ve specified any other countries being in the southern hemisphere. It’s possible this is a numerical majority of countries but it’s less than a quarter of the population.
Most countries have sea access. i don’t think I’ve specified that any are landlocked but I bet some ‘lees are.
My unconfirmed notion of Erethani geography is that Ereith is approximately Great-Britain-sized, with approximately Icelandic landscape features, and perches on the Arctic Circle some distance away from the main collection of landblobs, with about a third of its habitable area north of the circle. Not sure whether it’s east of everything or west of everything.
The world’s largest flower garden is called Keukenhof. It is located in the Netherlands. The first 2 pictures are known as the River of Flowers. It looks so beautiful that I just want to take a nap there on a sunny day. This garden covers 32 hectares and has around 7 millions bulbs planted each year. (More Information)
So, @colorjustice established that we are pre-Voa/Tapa-war in our shared Amenta RP continuity. I think it would be fun to eventually go forward in time a bit (after the new blogs slow down some). Does anyone have an opinion about how we ought to do that? Should I just periodically blog “omg, did you hear that Thing happened” or “happy new year! have a great 3422!”

I would be in favor of breaking news in character once we’ve got a stable crop of characters (we’re still adding like someone every day) and have played out our hot takes on reds and caste-switching and so on.
I agree with breaking news in character and would be happy to act as a delivery mechanism if you don’t want 100% of Current Events to originate from your own blog as though @visiblelight is some kind of mystical news oracle but do want control of the timeline.

The page exists but I think it showing up on the little person’s drop-down menu is Xkit because it definitely isn’t there for me.
It’s not literally on the drop-down menu, it is in the sidebar after clicking on a blog from the menu.
