[1.4.1] Game Crashing on Specific Date

PostPosted by LeandroAmorim » Sun May 21, 2017 07:50

Hello

I'm playing as Daenerys and my game keeps crashing on 18 november 8309. I tried reloading earlier saves, disabling steam cloud sync, but nothing worked.

My game is version 2.7.1 (YEBO).

On the log folder, the error.txt file contains:

Code: Select all

Heya, not the best person to help by a long stretch as I've not tried looking under the hood at all, but I see the same error.log as you after a complete reinstall yest, and saw the first three entries before yesterday so imagine the logs are irrelevant.
What I have seen, though, are persistent crashes from certain save games and I've come to assume they're memory issues given I've only got 3.5Gb of 4 available due to 32bit Windows 10 RAM limitation. So now I accept that some games simply can't run after a certain point due to memory bloat (too many in game characters calculations in both CK2 and EU4 drag things down) on my rig and will always be the case until I reinstall Windows as 64bit. May help explain??

It does say exactly this on our CTD help thread topic4562.html
Whilst this usually only applies when loading it also makes sense that if you play for a long time you will encounter the same issue.

Yes, should've mentioned that I came to understand RAM was a problem from prowling all over the site looking for answers and finding them there :)
