Anonymous asked: I'm a student at the UW Evans School, where a lot of the professors from the minimum wage study work. Last quarter one of them was telling us about this exact subject - how the critics of the study (especially Sawant and co) was asking why they used a comparison to 'synthetic Seattle' instead of other similar regions in Washington state which didn't raise the minimum wage. Except - the study did include comparisons to those regions - and they actually made the minimum wage hike look worse!

I’m super envious of you, it’d be really cool to get to sit down with the study authors and discuss this! And this is good to know!
