The whole “literally no one is saying ____” argument bugs me sometimes bc like yes I understsand strawman arguments exist and people also project preconceived arguments when that’s inappropriate but like sometimes people use that when you just saw someone say the thing “literally no one says” and sometimes it’s more like, of course someone that disagrees with you is gonna interpret stuff differently it’s like a defense attorney saying “Literally no one is saying my client should get away with first degree murder” like yeah we know but thats not the point
“literally no one is saying this thing,”
+ “we are saying something that is much much more horrifying”
+ “we are saying something this thing obviously follows out of”
+ three posts after someone says literally that exact thing verbatim, sometimes even that same person
