The problem as I see it, is that your comments are more center-left than you might realize. Have you made any comments praising or supporting Republicans/conservative positions? I did see you comment favorably of Kasich, so that's at least something.

The ban in r/Republican is actually somewhat understandable. You admitted to voting for Obama twice. I could potentially understand voting for him in 2008; and I could understand perhaps strategically voting for Clinton (in a swing state) this go around since I'm NeverTrump too. But it's very difficult to claim that you're center-right if you voted for Obama in 2013.

Then again, I'm just a fellow commenter. I have no power to unban you. I'm, in fact banned on r/conservative. So take my comments with a grain of salt. Unless you were trolling on r/Republican, I don't think you should have been banned. But at least that banning makes sense. Unlike what usually happens on r/conservative.

I won't argue against you with me being center-left of some issues, but I also believe I'm center-right on some as well. Like, I don't think college should be completely free.

At the end of the day what you said is pretty much the one gripe I have with both subs. I voted for Obama, because of that I'm seen as a liberal. It's either you are with us or you are against us, these purity stuff isn't going to grow your guys party. Really it just push the people in the middle out. I don't agree with the full democratic platform and I don't agree fully with the Republican one.

But outside some crazy way left Bernie supporters, I feel like if I don't agree with all of the DNC platform it's okay. My feeling for the RNC's is well, I guess you were never with us anyways.

I spoke favorably about Kasich and Rubio in the past. Now it's mainly Kasich because if Rubio will still openly support Trump after all the crap he says, then to me, that shows you aren't a leader.

So yeah, there's definitely so truth to the center-left part, but if "we're" not welcome, then what will you guys do to actually you know, grow your party?

Sheesh, r/republican looks like it's gone down the fucking tubes too. Anybody ever notice something similar with all these bans on r/conservative? They're all from the same shitty moderator that spams articles and then totally asinine comments that don't have anything to do with the subject material. He/she should have been removed as a moderator a long time ago and it's an absolute mystery to me how he/she still is one now.

Republican does not necessarily equal conservative. If the morons in those subs read actual polls, they'd see that many GOP and Dems reach over the aisle and pull the lever for someone they might not ordinarily do from time to time. And even then, I'd still want to welcome alternative/differing views in either sub to generate legitimate debate.

I'd rather have a thread where moderate/liberal Republicans discuss Trump's total shit campaign instead of fucking stupid memes.

It's actually pretty interesting, chabanais regularly breaks rule #3 and #5, but I supposed that's okay because a mod is doing it.

Like, what is this?

You were banned for a lack of civility. You could have simply pointed out the article was wrong but you didn't just do that.

;-)

You really got duped this easily ?

Wow, you read that as hostile? Huh, safe zone much ?

But yeah, I'm pretty sure, I called you out on posting a fake article and you got salty. Funny I've done that before on r/Conservative and other members just own up to there mistake.

But you needed to delete your post and silence said person, great civil liberties you got there.

;-)

I removed the article because it was factually incorrect... and if you think this has anything to do with "civil liberties" you're seriously ignorant.

Have a nice day!

It was factually incorrect because it was pointed out to you, but rather than addressing it you issue a ban. Seems well, sort of sad.

You were banned for a lack of civility. It's not a complicated issue.

Cheers.
