Quality of the sub at an all-time low?

Yep.

How can we fix it?

Hope it gets better after the election.

Conservatives are extremely divided over what to do about Trump. If Trump is elected, we will still be divided. If Hillary is elected, we will once again unite against a continuation of the Obama/Democrat agenda. If Johnson or somebody else is elected, Hell will have frozen over.

Nope, we'll be united in running from the IRS.

Nope, we'll be gone due to demographic shifts, ex-Trump supporters leaving the movement for good and supreme court justices reshaping our country.

demographic shifts

Why the hell else do you think we needed a strong border candidate so badly?

Trump and Cruz were against everyone else. And literally none of them are in it for any good reasons.

As for ex-Trump supporters, this is a faction nearly done with faith in the nation and its people. So they are nominating Trump almost solely to demolish a rotten system. IRS, DoJ, FBI, ICE, State Dept, Pentagon(see the leak Paul Ryan's losing his mind over), the press/media, mainstream popular culture of Hollywood and entertainment television, large businesses in favor of TPP and illegals, etc. One step away from giving up on it as a lost cause, while they may go back to continue to live virtuous lives- or not. I can't fault them when they feel the average American cares more about illegal invaders or random "refugees" than the concerns of their own working people; the ones it isn't fashionable to care about.

If I wasn't clear I am a Trump supporter and a conservative and I agree completely. I just meant to stress that the IRS is the least of our concerns, if Hillary is elected, we cease to exist in 8 years. Millennials will never support a traditional conservative candidate, a majority of them do not even believe in capitalism. Couple that with all of the above you mentioned... Lights out conservatism.

They don't fucking believe in free speech.

I don't know how old you are, but being a conservative/individual liberties person in the 20s is... quite the experience, shall we say? Especially in campus settings.

They believe in "freedom" but in practice only when it comes to sex, drugs and policing other people on a moral basis, not unlike certain Christian groups they demonize.

FWIW, I've tried to contribute some thoughtful and philosophical articles. Unfortunately, most /r/Conservative users prefer shorter links or memes that take less time out of their day to read or view. So, I've also been posting my submissions to /r/conservatives. They seem to get much more traction over there.

I'm still banned for absolutely no reason, so I'll try r/conservatives as a sub. Thanks.

It is literally the worst subreddit, and that is saying a lot given I hang out at r/opieandanthony
