Honestly shoutout to The Social Network for giving us the line “you’re going to go through life thinking that girls don’t like you because you’re a nerd. And I want you to know, from the bottom of my heart, that that won’t be true. It’ll be because you’re an asshole” because if that doesn’t epitomize women’s feelings for entitled male nerds I don’t know what does

extremely bad post

assholes have zero problems finding women, including women that they are assholes to.

The line specifically refers to nerds who don’t see themselves as assholes and view the consequences of their poor social skills (not finding love, people not wanting to be around them) as a result of society unjustly hating nerds, rather than because people might be justified in their dislike of them individually. So actually this is a very good post.
Also, not all assholes.

I have about twenty objections to this, ranging from extremely serious to blunt dismissal, and this is an extremely bad post, like, horrifyingly bad, like OP is complete scum for making this post. I will not go into all of them right now.

The fact that being an asshole (a narcissist) is actually correlated with a larger number of sexual partners, and that the “entitled male nerd” is honestly a complete boogeyman, and the sole thing “hey women don’t date you because you’re a misogynist” will achieve is triggering a massive scrupulosity streak on people who are already extremely scrupulous, and so on, and so forth, you might ignore, or just not take to heart.

I will give you three questions.

1. Self-identifying as a nerd or geek in men is actually very highly correlated with self-identifying as a feminist, it’s one of the strongest correlations amongst such core groups. Feminism seems to have had some really nice social capital in the demo. Where did that social capital go?

2. When people say “one of the good ones” and “when I say [insult], I refer to the bad members of [insulted groups]”, do you think they will be even remotely fair in determining who’s the good ones?

3. When I was in middle school (abt 9 grade), a girl proposed to me. It was completely out of left field, and without further ado, I have said that I always loved her as well.

Obviously, she explained that I was le epik prank’d, asked why the fuck would I, a nerd, think of even interacting with her, and that I need to reimburse her for shower supplies, and then told of the occurrence to other girls in her class.

I got beaten after that. For, I assume, completely unrelated reasons.

Do you think people who have been in similar situations might have their outlook on life affected by them, and what do you think is their expected response to “women don’t hate you because you’re a nerd, they hate you because you’re an asshole”?

@egowave ranma official is like that because he got fake proposed to when he was fourteen rofl

i gotta be honest @ranma-official ‘getting fake asked out by a girl in 9th grade’ is definitely the worst super villain origin story ive ever heard.

Hello, papatulus!

What compels you to falsely accuse multiple people of raping children, getting them harassed off tumblr?

How about that time you had your blog deleted for doxxing people and then lied that it never happened?

The sole way I interact with you is to remind people that you do these things. Every single time I (or anyone else) do that, you lie that it never happened, get hit with links that it did, and then bow out of the conversation because you cannot let your followers who sent rape threats to an underage girl for associating with someone you pointed your finger at see what you are.

And that makes me a villain?

What’s your origin story? Being corkroach afterbirth?

I don’t even care about the rest of the post, I’m reblogging solely because Papa-asshole got dragged again lmao

Watch papatulus do this again.

A: “I don’t hate you because you’re a nerd, but because you’re an asshole”
B: “That’s still mean, reductive, and conspicuously only levelled against nerds in the first place”
A: “B lol that’s because all nerds are assholes! Get a load of this nerd!”

Women who get mad at being mistreated are the real meanies!!!

Lmao the entire meaning is the quote is that all nerds are not assholes? She’s saying “I dislike you because you’re a jerk, not because you like computers”

I find it very significant that you intentionally switch to “X are the REAL Y” cliche. Gee, I wonder why that is.

Gee, what if there’s something like, I don’t know, parsing “a nerd talked to me. He dared.” as “being mistreated”?
