What is wrong with this? Walmart will have to pay more to Swift to compensate them for not working with Amazon. Smaller companies will get to charge more as well. Opening up the market for other companies.

It is a dick move that makes them look like they're sulking about having a bit of competition.

Did you just say walmart is using a dick move. Ya welcome to 2017, they have been doing that for 50 years. Their getting desperate, its awsome.

It's nakedly anti-competitive. It's a big company throwing its weight around (against truckers who are already in trouble) to stifle a business that would offer lower prices.

Its anti-competitive for themselves. They limit their available pool of trucking companies increasing their costs. Law of supply and demand. Just because walmart is getting out walmarted is not a reason to cry.

Also due to their sheer size they already limit their trucking suppliers due to the inefficiency of using limited suppliers willing to work in their system. Used to work at a packaging company that was excited to get a walmart contract. They bailed on it after a year, walmart had unreasonable demands, and expectations, making the job less profitable than expected. Heard the contract was won by somebody that bid 30% higher than us the next year.
