More eternalize creatures! Proven Combatant is about as vanilla as we can go with the mechanic, but Sinuous Striker strikes me as another great example of the surprising flexibility that eternalize offered the design team.

As is tradition during preview season, the community is fervently debating how good many of the new cards actually are. To me, this seems like a very "Blake Rasmussen" card, which usually means it's pretty good and that I won't want to play against him when he has it.

Between the Aetherworks Marvel banning just going into effect and the release of Hour of Devastation coming in a few weeks, we're in for a bit of a "Wild West" of Standard for the next month or so. Appropriately, The_Gunslingers managed to pilot an archetype we haven't seen much of lately through this new environment to a 5-0 victory during a recent Standard Magic Online League.
