Thanks to the harsh and helpful comments on much of a bitch I was being, it seems I finally am starting to understand this shit.

I came to a realization after seemingly passing her second little shit test.

When I apologized for the first argument, she wasn't happy. In fact she looked kind of surprised and acted aloof and indifferent. I knew I shouldn't have apologized, but what happened afterward seemed to confirm it.

No less than 2 hours later, she starts on about some other bs about something that was her idea. It went like this:

She's going on trip with fam

She tells me "Oh you can't take care of the dog so I will take her."

Her: "Oh here's a good idea. Invite your friends over for the weekend!"

I never thought of that and liked the idea

Her: "You don't care about me because I'm going to take the dog. I never get to enjoy anything!"

Me: "I will take care of the dog and the dog will be fine when my friends and I head out for the night."

Her: "Why don't you care about me? You always hang out with your friends and enjoy freedom. And the dog won't be okay! (literally 4 or 5 hours)"

Me: "I will take care of the dog and the dog will be fine when my friends and I head out for the night."

Her: "yap yap yap."

Me: STFU and leave

After learning my lesson the first time, I wasn't apologizing or caving in for something that I knew she was being overreactive about. I learned my biggest problem is learning to STFU, so I did just that.

Of course I got the silent treatment for the rest of the night, and the next day. She comes home in the evening, I'm happy as ever, kissing her and teasing her. We sit down and I say "So let's talk about this." She starts going on again, and I just repeat the same thing I said the night before.

She finally starts getting the picture and starts liking the idea. Then she says "Well I already told my sister, and she was happy about bringing the dog, and I think I would be happy too with her."

Me inside. Laughing and shaking my head like really? She is all smiles afterward and we had great sex afterward.

So seeing how I reacted to both situations, in the second, I'm 99% sure she was just seeing if I would budge or not. It's so fucked up and I just hope all of it was subconscious.

I won't be posting much from here on out and just gonna DO what I need to do from the sidebar and following other posts. Now I await the next test which I feel like she might pull some bs the day of her trip. Thanks for all the solid advice.
