Speaker Paul Ryan criticized President Donald Trump on Thursday for a crude attack on MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski’s physical appearance.

“I don’t see that as an appropriate comment,” Ryan said at a press conference, less than three hours after Trump ridiculed “low I.Q. Crazy Mika” for “bleeding badly from a face-lift.”

Ryan’s remarks were his latest rebuke of the president, though he quickly moved on from the subject.

Ryan occasionally chided Trump for offensive comments during the presidential campaign, including his racially charged attack on an American-born federal judge of Mexican descent. But so far this year he’s largely kept his criticisms muted and shrugged of Trump’s incendiary tweets.
