Leah only paid for Tony Mohammed’s courses, all NOI didn’t get their courses for free. They got them discounted and no hard sell but it isn’t free.

My position on Los Angeles is that there are thousands of people and entities more wealthy and powerful than Scientology, many of them with equal or greater need for protection from the press and LE. So, if the Church is able to subvert LAPD and LA Times, everyone with a hundred million or so can too, and there would never be anything done right. The LA County Sheriffs Office under Bacca was a bit of a snake pit, and Scientology gets away with murder in Clearwater, but they are strictly second rate in the City of Los Angeles. I agree the LA Times underreports on Scientology, but as far as I can tell it’s because the stories would all take on a repetitive tone after awhile, and their readership is more interested in real estate, entertainment, city hall, state and federal government, sports, and a dozen other pocketbook or quality of life issues.

So, let me get this straight…

At least one Scientologist was paying money to the CofS to provide Scientology services to NOI members, thereby supposedly involving black people in Scientology, while keeping them at arms length (just as condensing ‘missionaries’ of yore once did).

That explains what’s in it for Scientology – (predictably) money from ‘sponsorship’. What’s in it for the NOI, though? Call me cynical, but I can’t quite believe that all they get is the ‘benefit’ of Scientology ‘training’. There has just got to cash changing hands somewhere.
